Imagine owning BTC today and when you try to explain inflation and economics to the general public, the most common response is “OMG NFTS.”
I’m not sure what the attraction of having one is, but I’m sure they feel the same way about digital gold.
And that is the essence of it all…the fact is that it is only worth what people are prepared to pay for it.
This is a fantastic approach to take advantage of NFTs’ built-in provenance, as it establishes a direct relationship between the NFT holder and the author.
Nonetheless, Budweiser has the right to remove these privileges at any moment.
A smart contract, for example, would be more permanent and censorship-proof, but that’s still a long way off.
