Found this old article, I think this is a good reminder for all of us to stop focusing on the short-term, be patient & look at how much BTC and the Cryptoverse matured in 10 years.
When this was published, the article reported:
6 millions of BTC in circulation -> As of today 18.9 millions BTC 30K$/day in trading volume vs 28.7 billions $ (12/22/21) Used to buy drugs, dog sweaters & alpaca socks -> This year in 2021, the 1st country El Salvador officially adopting BTC as legal tender & planning to build the first Bitcoin City.
Of course, close to no one at that time believed Cryptocurrency & BTC would become what it is today. This increase from 0.005$ to 1$ at the time was massive (remains an outstanding 20 000% return), while for us today at 3 300$ drop would be considered “A casual routine”.
And it just proves to us again, this is worth to be sticking around to see the Cryptoverse evolution in the following years & decades as we are just getting started exploiting its infinite potential. Even us, the small investors are contributing to the creation of this path to the true mainstream adoption & innovations for new possibilities.
We may right now smile at how small it was 10 years ago, but maybe in 10 years someone will find this post & smile at how small we were in 2021.
The future is bright.
