In a latest and quite suprising move the SEC has just ended their discovery process with Ripple. The discovery process is where both parties exchange information to each other. Ending that is a major step forward in the lawsuit. Showing that the lawsuit may conclude very soon.
The only two things stopping the lawsuit from concluding are basic scheduling and an appeal to not use the Hinman Emals as evidence in the lawsuit.
The Hinman emails are from former SEC executive Hinman, who apperantly had a major personal interest in calling the XRP a security and Ethereum not in the same speech. His speech has been key for Ripple to call on Secs personal interest in the regulations.
This request was already rejected by the Judge but now SEC is trying to file an objection against that decision from the Judge. SEC is just desperate to delay this lawsuit from concluding but each day it’s a worse outlook for them.
