Tinfoil hats on: Which “crypto conspiracy theory” do you believe in and why?

A popular question in r/AskReddit is “What conspiracy theory do you believe and why?”. An example of a common answer there is that Epstein did not kill himself.

Let’s do our own crypto version: Which crypto conspiracy theory do YOU believe and why?

I suppose my answer would be that I believe that the big players in this space (whales) create common narratives that retail believes in to use retail as exit liquidity. Examples:

We all believed in $100K blowoff top in 2021 –> barely made a new all time high and then crumbled We all believed that Bitcoin would gain dominance in the bear of 2022 –> alts have been holding up surprisingly well We all believed that Bitcoin could not go below a previous all time high –> we went below the 2017 all time high
