ETH Shanghai / Capella upgrade is coming soon at March, if you have been staking or running validators this mean you can withdraw those locked ETH soon, what would you do with it?
Personally I am probably going to keep those locked ETH staking for a while due to the potential long exit queue (30~70days depends on validators exiting), and I think when everyone exit and enter withdrawal queue, this mean staking yield will have a boost at least at that initial period, at the mean time I would use the previous reward and maybe invest them in some other crypto. (It’s been a long time since I actually think about invest in other crypto than BTC/ETH).
Once the exit queue become less congested (say withdrawal is possible within 2 weeks), I would probably withdraw a partial of it to invest in some other crypto and probably convert some of my ETH into ETHE to capitalize on the current overblown discount rate.
What is your plan and what’s the idea behind it (to conserve capital/ more growth / hedge)?
