The twins, claiming that Mark Zuckerberg had entered into an oral contract with them, sued him for having stolen their idea, called ConnectU.
In 2002, seeking a better way to connect with the students at the Harvard University, ultimately created ConnectU, the social network they claim that Mark Zuckerberg stole and called “Facebook”.
In 2004, suing Mark Zuckerberg for stealing their idea and illegaly using source code for the website he was hired to create. Ultimately they agreed on a settlement of $65M, of which $11M they invested on Bitcoin, believing that it would be successful. At the time, in 2013, it was only around $120.
In 2014, they went on to create Gemini, a New-york based exchange.
There’s also an 2010 film about them called “The Social Network”, about the story between them and Mark Zuckerberg.
It’s crazy to think that Bitcoin was only $120 in 2013, and just how much it has went up since.
