The vault section of this sub has a security issue

So let’s say I’m a thief and I just stole my smartphone, managed to guess the pin and unlocked it. Since I’m a crypto degenerate I immediately check for crytpo traces and as soon as I see exchanges apps (protected by fingerprint) I go check Reddit looking for the precious vault.

Once I found it I try to move the moons but if i tap on “recovery phrase” or “change password” it asks me for the fingerprint… damn! BUT CAREFUL NOW: if I tap on “backup on cloud” it doesn’t ask me for anything, just takes me to the page where suggests to recover the phrase on the cloud and if you tap “show phrase” it won’t ask you for the fingerprint.

Given the fact that I don’t understand what’s the point of keeping on cloud your private seed, be very careful and try to simulate what a thief could do with your smartphone if unlocked.
