I personally feel that PayPal has served its purpose already, it was the go-to service for payments online for a long time and it was very easy to start using. It probably paved the way and set the stage for all modern fintech services we use today.
However, the fees are very high, particularly when exchanging currencies, and it only allows you to use one currency for your account. I just don’t really think they’ve done anything to innovate or even keep up with what other services like revolut are offering, and I always try to suggest alternatives when someone wants to use PayPal for something.
I’m just wondering if people feel the same way or if I’m missing some kind of ‘value’ that paypal offers to make it so ubiquitous.
