Damus is a social media app built on nostr which is owned by Jack Dorsey the previous Twitter CEO. It was created to be a decentralized version of Twitter which allows people to tip each other btc. Apple is removing them from the app store because
Apple sees these tips as in-app purchases for digital content, which can only be covered by Apple’s in-app purchase system.
It is weird because the tips is literally what it’s called. A tip. Not something that can unlock a feature. Apple is sounding very greedy here and it makes little to no sense.
