People building just to get rich?

Original essence of Blockchain was permission less, 100% decentralized (someone should be able to setup a node in a PC), fully secure, and fairly scalable.
Why are modern L1 nodes hosted in AWS , GCP and so on? Where are we heading with this?
Why are the most L1 mining, validators hijacked by powerful company instead of individuals running things on their PC or personal devices?
I also saw someone put GPU offering Blockchain by buying powerful enterprise scale NVDIA processors?
If things are getting so centralized, why not use Cloud services, High Availability, Multi-AZ, with DR?
What are some truly decentralized Blockchain that are in existence? Is there any community that cares less about getting rich quick, but build something of true essence?
