Google searches and news articles worldwide are topping the january 2024 surge

I didn’t find stats about news articles but in the last days, the interest in Bitcoin seems to skyrocket. Every big newspaper in Europe seems to cover the topic. This is a front page article in the NZZ (New Zürich Newspaper):

Google has found a new local high in interest in bitcoin – surpassing the January spike during the ETF approval. I find it interesting that Nigeria (some call Nigeria the center of the global scam industry) seems to have the highest interest – followed by El Salvador (obviously) and Switzerland (one of the world’s financial centers):

It still doesn’t look like a bull market top, not even close. My observations so far:

after months of no interest at all, I can see many posts asking about crypto on social media like Reddit, even in non-crypto subs a surge in articles – even front page coverage of big newspapers Crypto seems to replace the AI hype we’ve seen in the last 2 years, people are already getting bored with it.

What do you think? Do you guys know a source that shows statistics about topics in articles? I couldn’t find anything free / public.
