Hey all,
While digging into some tokenomics data on TokenUnlocks [1], I noticed some hefty circulating supply changes on the horizon for several top coins:
Arbitrum: Currently has 50% of its supply unlocked, which is 5.09b. In a year, its circulating supply will rise from 5.09b to 6.6b, with over 500 million allocated for investors. This could lead to selling pressures if investors decide to cash out. Optimism: Brace yourselves, we’re seeing a jump from 725m to 1b in the next year. Sui: This one’s eye-catching – from 704m to a massive 2.5b circulating supply in just 12 months. Aptos: Projected to go from 175m to 378m in the same timeframe.
Before dropping any cash:
Review changes in circulating supply. Consider how these changes might affect your investment horizon and strategy.
In essence, while market cap is undoubtedly important, the nuances of tokenomics, especially circulating supply, play a crucial role in determining the potential value of a coin. It’s always better to be informed than surprised.
Stay sharp and invest wisely.
