I only use netflix to watch some new anime series but my eye fell on this “epic” documentary. I talk about the documentary about crypto that you can find on Netflix.
The documentary narrates us surrounding the supposed insolvency of the largest cryptocurrency broker in Canada. However, for those familiar with cryptocurrency concepts, engaging with the documentary becomes a challenge. Although it strives to present an unbiased and factual account, it eventually becomes apparent that impartiality is lacking.
Also i find the cover quite bad/sad (a fingerprint with blood with the BTC sign).
To the common individual, Bitcoin represents a virtual currency obtained either through trust or as an act of defiance. If Bitcoin, despite its widespread recognition, is perceived as relatively ineffective, one can only speculate how the general public might view other cryptocurrencies. This industry is often portrayed as a fraudulent scheme riddled with deceitful activities.
This constitutes the more favorable segment of the documentary. Subsequently, Netflix employs a range of manipulative tactics to shape the viewer’s perspective. Those who engage in cryptocurrency investment are mostly nerds or looking to get money fast or they are easily scammed etc.etc.
This documentary constitutes a regrettable assault on the cryptocurrency scene. The employment of these tactics by Netflix and major media outlets is indicative of their necessity to adopt such approaches, as they find themselves on the losing end in a genuine intellectual discourse.
If you have time to waste you can watch it. I just posted this so maybe i can save you some time that you can enjoy some other activities 🙂
