Is there a best day of the week to buy Bitcoin? I looked at the past year in pricing so you don’t have to

Greetings from the Midwest! Decided to see if there has been any correlation between price of BTC and day of the week for the past year. Apologies for formatting – I’m typing this up on mobile.

I took the price of BTC in USD at 11:59 UTC over the date range 23 Aug 2022 – 23 Aug 2023. After averaging this price for each day of the week, these were my findings:

Sun (avg): 23586.04128

Mon (avg): 23623.38642

Tues (avg): 23596.37385

Wed (avg): 23651.35991 (highest)

Thurs (avg): 23540.2838

Fri (avg): 23512.8839 (lowest)

Sat (avg): 23584.05285

SO…over the past year, average price of BTC was highest on Wednesdays and lowest on Fridays, although the difference between the two was only ~0.5854886%

Bonus: The lowest day of the year was on Tuesday 22 Nov 2022 @ 15782.3008 and the highest day of the year was on Friday 14 July 2023 @ 31474.7207.

TLDR; buy on Fridays, sell on Wednesdays…I guess.
