Belgium will use crypto technology for the European document system

“Belgium wants to accelerate the construction of a so-called “blockchain infrastructure” for all of Europe. This special digital system is intended to store official documents, such as driving licenses, in a decentralized and secure manner.
Blockchain is the underlying technology for cryptocurrencies. The Belgian government plans to raise this proposal during its presidency of the Council of the European Union in early 2024.”
If this is what adoption looks like, I’m wondering which projects will be well-positioned to take part in initiatives like this.
