Leading to blockchain bloating and some users saying transactions are taking days.
The update:
an upgrade that significantly improves network efficiency and resiliency, particularly during adverse network conditions like heavy spam. V26 also includes server-side support for several multi-phase improvements that will be more fully enabled in V27.

It is holding up better than previous spam attacks but in the end, it will always suffer from it due to being feeless
