Late to the party… cannot wrap my mind around passwords locking people out of everything.

If I lose my driver license or passport I can eventually get a new one and regain access to my local bank.

Yes the money is not safe. I have been levied twice for taxes. Once it was made up “guesstimate” numbers the state was hoping for. They just suck money out. Poof. Not safe.

With crypto if a person forgets passwords it seems money disappears?

A 21 year old friend got cancer and had several brain surgeries.

If someone ended up in jail forever? How about catching a quick killing disease? A car crash and instant death?

This type of money system seems too risky.

I am not saying fiat is much better. The USD has lost most of its purchasing power over 50 years.

Please chime in. I bought some crypto years ago but don’t trust it.
