Why is Monero being outcasted from the crypto world but other privacy coins are being praised?

This may be a very stupid question. But why did everyone dump Monero and every exchange ban Monero from their platform. But other privacy coins get support and praise from the same people and exchanges. Why is for example Verge still allowed? Binance even invested Manta. Why would they ban Monero for being a privacy coin and at the same time invest millions in Manta?

With the current and upcoming regulations and laws I don’t see a future for privacy coins at all. Why are there still new privacy coins popping out?
