The amount of Ethereum burned since EIP1559 (just 2 months ago) would be at #85 by market cap rank if it was a coin in itself. And it’s only going to keep going up.
The total worth of ETH burned is $1,429,779,461 . On September 17th, 311,554.11 ETH had been burned, surpassing the 1 billion mark (via Etherscan).
As of today (2nd October 14:30 EST) the burn rate over the last 24 hours has been 6,295 ETH totaling $21,531,416. With the last hour burning 214 ETH totaling $731,775 USD. Meaning that 4.37 ETH are currently being burned every single minute.
