Why would anyone comply with the new Crypto regulations?

As an outsider to the EU, Canada, India or wherever else unfair Crypto regulations are trying or have passed already I really don’t get why would anyone abide by these laws.

Crypto provides many means to stay anonymous, and the whole point is decentralization, why would you not just use this instead of complying.

I get the rule of law argument, but do we just say A-OK to everything just because politicians said so.

This is a genuine question, not trying to make a point or anything I just want to see the perspective of people who are actually going to play by the bs rules.
