I know this is small on the scale of complaining, but has anyone else noticed how cars are making things harder-not easier lately?
I had to get a loaner from my car place, and it was a brand new car. You get kind of excited for new cars, so I was happy driving it, but it drove me nuts. It constantly shut off at stoplights, which wasn’t so much of a problem as it threw me off. And then it automatically braked for me, as I was changing lanes, and that threw me off completely. I think I’m aware when I need to brake, but the fact that it just slowed me down without me being prepared is a hazard. What happened to cars that just let you drive them?
My wife was testing a new car and the car was supposed to park itself in a spot. I don’t know how much I’d trust it to do so, and the salesmen said as much. But apparently it does wonders.
If I trusted the current car technology, I’d let it do its thing. But until it’s at that point, I might have to just switch to a classic car to make sure I stay in control, cause these new ones suck.
Rant over…
