Sometimes comes from forcing the random. I’ve been listening to random bands on Spotify and I’ve found a few bands that I wouldn’t normally listen to, or have found without that random chance.
Random inspiration is great for finding gems in the rough. I had no idea I enjoyed Coheed and Cambria’s latest album-or even had one, but I think it’s great. I’ve heard of them, obviously, and have enjoyed their tunes, but I kinda let them fade as I didn’t realize they created new albums. Or even 2 that were so good. I do miss the days of listening to an entire album because you have to, and in that sense you get the track markers and the feeling for the next song lined up. I mean you can now, but…who does? Most times you get that one song and then move on.
So take that chance, especially since you have plenty of time during corona.
