And it’s a weird feeling. I definitely didn’t like him for the longest time, but I had to respect the hustle. And then when he went to Tampa, I was amazed that he did it again. You can’t argue with the goat, it is what it is.
I think what will most feel odd is the sensation that he’s NOT there. He was always there, lurking in the background, waiting to destroy your teams hopes, or fulfill the destiny that despite being down by 3 scores, you know he could always come back. I don’t know if there’s any other play that dynamic-Mahomes and Allen are powerhouses, but have they really tested the mettle like Brady?
It’s exciting to think that we will find out, but it’s also exciting to know that you’re a part of history, at least in watching it happen live. I’ll be able to tell my grandkids and great grandkids-“Hey, I watched Brady play and man, there STILL ain’t nothing like it.”
“Yea gramps, we’re watching soccer but that’s nice. Glad you lived through COVID”.
Oh well.
EDIT: HEEEEEEEEEEEE’sssss BACCCCCCKKKK!!!
That didn’t last long. Welp, gotta put a bet down on ol’ tommy for ’23. brb.
