Before that last post about dying and stuff, I had been doing a ton of traveling. I actually said secretly to myself, “Self, you like traveling, wouldn’t it be great if you traveled a bit more?”.

And the real answer is…I like traveling when there’s no responsibilities on the line. But traveling for work and weddings sometimes sucks. And then other times, you find that the travel takes you some place you wouldn’t normally go, and it’s quite a fun and unique experience.

In this case, I was in Portland, ME, Cape Cod, MA, Boston, the Adirondacks and then Buffalo, NY. And then I had to head to Washington but that was after a short break so that kinda doesn’t count. They were all cool in their own way, but the Adirondacks was especially cool. Having never been there before was not only eye opening but an awesome first look at some great scenery. It was a drive, which I didn’t love too much being on a time crunch, but if I had another opportunity, I’d jump in a heart beat. I also got to come back through part of VT, which is another place I haven’t spent much time in either but simultaneously great for scenery. I guess some times you get what you ask for, and then other times you get what you need. Either way, enjoy the ride.
