It’s a creepy movie. Go and watch it, because it was funnier and more interesting that I thought it was going to be, but still had the creepy vibes.
SPOILER:
So I was thinking about the ending. I mean, it’s obvious what happens in the story in the sense that the foreshadowing beat you over the head pretty hard in the beginning. How would you solve that problem as the heroes?
The main protagonists didn’t have much of a chance, really. They were destined for the grave, whether they helped or killed the…thing. So how would you get out of that puzzle. Assuming that they had a year before the thing matured.
I figure that the best solution would be similar to what the woman had already did. Start by asking questions, and maybe the naïve version of the…alien would tell them secrets that they didn’t know. The weird frog motion of it was scary enough that it snapped the woman back to reality very quickly. But she didn’t really do much for it then, aside from continuing to raise it and teach it things before it sucked her life force from her and it was too late. They had at least a year or so before their time was up. I’m surprised that they didn’t get any more information or attempt to before they expired. Or even threaten the system with the baby before using more drastic measures. But I suppose more desperate people might have done more.
The dude with the creepy eyebrows in the beginning was enough for me to be like, nah, I’m good, thanks….
